This is a pastel painting of my cat, Rocky. The way the sunlight emphasized the transparency of his ears and stretched paw was my inspiration. I began with an alcohol wash over NuPastel and Rembrandt then layer on a variety of brands, Townsend, Girault, Richeson, Ludwig and Unison.
