I stumbled upon this birds nest as I was picking roses in my garden. I wanted to create a painting representing the excitement of new beginnings followed by a painting of the newly hatched birds. Sadly the nest was raided a few days later and the eggs were all gone. This painting is done on Brown Pastelmat using Unison pastels, a few NuPastels and 3 pastel pencils. The pencils were used only on the eggs.
