I was delighted with the shadows cast by the agave leaves. I prepped a piece of Gatorbord with pumice gel that was stained with nickel azo gold acrylic. I used an alcohol wash in the deepest shadows. I used mostly soft pastels and a few carbothello pastel pencils.
