Black Capped Chickadee has been inspired by all of the Chickadees that visit my feeders of which most recently they have begun to nest in the houses in our backyard. This painting started with a watercolor underpainting on Kitty Wallis paper and then I applied a variety of pastels, my focus was to keep the softness of the downy like feathers on the bird.
