Abstract pastel using sanded paper and hard and soft pastels. I am drawn to the grid as an underlying structure. I used an alcohol wash as an underpainting and the colors blue, red violet, yellow green and orange. It was around Memorial Day that I completed this painting. I felt it had a dreamy, ethereal feeling about it, hence the title.
