This painting was inspired by the backward gaze given by JJ on a frosty morning. It was as if he thought he was all alone! I loved how the dew froze and covered everything in a shroud of white. I enjoyed rendering the dark colors of his back and giving attention to the direction of his hair. I love how this picture brings out a different visual aspect of JJ, not directly seeing his face. It was a pleasure to paint!
