There is an urban flower farm in my little northeast Florida beach town where they grow indigenous flowers for subscription bouquets. They have evolved into some sort of artistic muse for me! I used a combination of all my favorites, using Diane Townsends and nupastels to block in the underpainting with alcohol wash, then Terry Ludwigs, senneliers, giraults, blue earth, and a couple of prized la roche sticks for the intense pink highlights.
