I focus on painting a series of work which is influenced by events in my life. A diagnosis of a brain tumor prompted my moon series, seeing light in the darkness. Pastels give this piece a richness and depth I could not achieve with any other medium. The dark sky and glowing moon have a depth that is enhanced by the richness of color only a pastel can produce.
