I used a rubbing alcohol wet wash for the under painting. The inspiration for Desert Paintbrush is based off of when I saw a hint of red color in the desert while off roading. I went closer to get a picture and it was a cactus with an Indian Paintbrush flower next to it. It was beautiful!
